Downtown used to empty out after office hours, but it now has thousands of residents, new parks and a busier evening scene. Discovery Green, Market Square Park and the Theater District give it life after work, and the baseball, basketball and soccer venues on the east side draw crowds on game nights. Weekday lunches happen in the tunnel system beneath many office towers.

Getting Around

Downtown is one of the few parts of Houston where living without a daily car is realistic. The METRORail Red Line runs down Main Street, and the Green and Purple lines head east. I-45, I-69/US-59 and I-10 surround the district if you need to drive, although event traffic and one-way streets take some getting used to.

Block 334 is at 1515 Main Street, on the south side of Downtown close to the METRORail Red Line and within reach of the central business district.
