Relocating to Houston: A Furnished Apartment as the First Stop

If you are relocating to Houston for a new job or a company transfer, a furnished apartment is a place to live before a long lease. It is already set up: furniture for the living room, dining area, and bedrooms, a full kitchen, bed linens and bath towels, and a washer and dryer in the unit. Parking is free, in a shared gated garage. Use the first weeks to learn the commute instead of buying furniture or opening utility accounts. We match your dates, bedrooms, and area, then confirm the apartment, what it includes, and the price in writing before you commit.
Who a furnished apartment is for at the start
Three situations cover most first inquiries.
A new hire has a start date and no Houston address. The office may be in Uptown, downtown, Greenway, or on the west side, and the rush-hour drive is still unknown. The apartment is a finished home, so you can start work while you learn which part of the city fits the job. You get one apartment, a written list of what is in it, and a quote for your dates.
A transferring employee is here on a defined assignment. If the company is paying, put the company name, the invoice contact, and any purchase order or cost center in the first note. Companies can ask about direct billing. The apartment and the quote are still confirmed in writing before anyone approves the stay.
A family sometimes arrives first. One person starts the job while another finishes work elsewhere, or you want to see neighborhoods before a long-term lease. Tell us who is coming, including children, and whether you need one bedroom or two. We offer one- and two-bedroom apartments, depending on the building and what is open. Send dates, headcount, and the office address, or name a neighborhood if you already have one. If the end date is still open, say so. An extension depends on whether that apartment is still available. We confirm what is open when you ask.
What a furnished apartment covers in the first weeks

The home is furnished before you arrive. Living room, dining area, and bedrooms are ready the day you walk in.
The kitchen is a full kitchen, with cookware, dishes, utensils, and housewares. We confirm that inventory for your apartment. Plan a grocery stop. Food is not assumed to be waiting unless we have said, in writing, what is there on arrival. Ask the same question about toiletries. Bed linens and bath towels are already in the apartment, so you do not need to pack a linen set. Bring your own toiletries.
Laundry stays in the unit. Every apartment has its own washer and dryer.
Parking is free at every building, in a shared gated garage. If you have a second car, say so in the first note.
Utilities and Wi-Fi are included in your quote, per booking terms. You do not open utility accounts, and you do not schedule an internet install. If you will take video calls from the apartment, say so, and we will confirm the details for that home.
A few things depend on the building. A fitness center, and any pool or gym, exists only where that community has it. Ask about access and hours for the building you are considering. Housekeeping is not in the standard package. If you want it, ask whether it is available, how often, and what it costs. Before you commit, we confirm the apartment, what it includes, and the price in writing.
Where to stay when relocating to Houston
The neighborhood decides the commute. We place guests in several parts of the city, not in one district. Start from the office address, then open the area page. You can also scan current listings before you write.
Galleria. Apartments near the Galleria and Uptown are a few minutes from Post Oak Boulevard and the Uptown office towers, with shopping and dining close by.
Downtown. Downtown apartments sit close to the office towers, the courts, the convention center, and the theaters.
Midtown. Midtown sits between Downtown's offices and the Museum District, with the METRORail Red Line close by.
Energy Corridor. Energy Corridor apartments at CityCentre are near I-10 and Beltway 8 for west Houston offices.
Greenway Plaza. Greenway Plaza apartments are on Richmond Avenue, between Upper Kirby, the Galleria, and the Inner Loop.
Medical Center district. Use this district when the workplace is there. It fits work assignments, travelers, and people moving into that neighborhood. The quote names that apartment.
If you are not sure which area fits, send the workplace address with your dates. We check inventory and reply with apartments near that address.
The first days in the apartment
Have the move-in packet before you travel. Our arrival guide covers the airports, the ride to the building, and the first 48 hours.
In writing, before you leave, you should have the full address, the access method, parking instructions, Wi-Fi details, and the support phone. Photo ID and the booking agreement are completed before those access instructions go out. If a line is missing, call 832-415-3433 before you travel.
You get yourself from the airport to the building by rideshare, taxi, or rental car. Airport transportation is not part of the apartment. There is no hotel front desk. Park in the shared gated garage the packet names. Parking is free at every building.
The first hour is a walk-through. Find the keys, the thermostat, and the basics in the kitchen. Check furniture, linens, cookware, and the washer and dryer. Report damage, missing items, or a cleaning problem the same day to reservations@houston-corporate-housing.com or 832-415-3433.
Then buy groceries. The kitchen is equipped, so you can cook on day one. Test the Wi-Fi against the packet and set the thermostat. Summers here are hot and humid, and winters are usually mild, so pack for cold indoor air and heat outside.
If a storm is in the forecast, follow building and city guidance. We do not publish a separate evacuation procedure. If the arrival day has to move, call and we will check what that apartment can still do.
How to book
Send a complete note. The steps are in how to book furnished apartments in Houston. Most guests finish matching within one or two business days when the inquiry is complete. Same-day replies are common on business days when inventory is open.
Include:
Arrival and departure dates, plus any flexibility.
Adults, children, and one bedroom or two.
The office address, or Galleria, Downtown, Midtown, Energy Corridor, Greenway Plaza, or the Medical Center district.
Who pays: you, a company card, or the company on a direct bill, with a billing contact. A company stay may need a purchase order or an accounts-payable contact before we confirm.
Anything that rules a building out. Non-aggressive pets are welcome. Name the pet in the first note if you have one.

You pick one and send any billing paperwork still open.
You review the booking terms.
Before arrival you get the move-in packet: address, access, parking notes, Wi-Fi, and our support number.

If the dates change after you book, tell us early. Shifts and extensions depend on availability and the terms on your booking.

Is parking included?

What should I bring?
Bring clothes for heat outside and cold air conditioning inside, your toiletries, and groceries for the first meals. The apartment already has furniture, a full kitchen with cookware, dishes, and utensils, housewares, bed linens, and bath towels. Ask what, if anything, is stocked on arrival. Housekeeping, airport transportation, grocery delivery, and a smart TV are not part of the apartment unless confirmed in writing for your booking.
